We all know about excuses. Sometimes we’re on the receiving end, and sometimes we’re the ones giving the excuses. Sometimes we’re even giving excuses for someone else! Sometimes the excuses are legitimate and sometimes not so much. They can get to be pretty outrageous. Maybe they go over well and maybe they don’t.

Your challenge is to write a ficly about an excuse or excuses. Who is giving the excuses? For whom? Who is hearing it? What do any onlookers think? What is the result? What kind of excuse is it?

There aren’t any strict rules on this one. I’m interesting in what you guys can come up with.
