Write a Prequel or Sequel to a Classic Poem or Story!

Take a well known, public domain (or otherwise on-the-Web) poem or story that you admire, and write a sequel to it, a continuation of some sort. For example, what happens after Wordsworth’s encounter with the little girl in “We are Seven”? What do the policemen feel as they’re taking the narrator of “The Tell-Tale Heart” away to jail? What was the romance like between the narrator of “The Raven” and Lenore, before she passed away? What was Little Red Riding Hood’s family life like before her ill-advised visit to the bears’ house?
Tell us all about it! If your tale gets longer, you can make sequels to your own entry, but each fresh story’s pre/sequel should please be a separate entry to the challenge: I’ll choose the best chain of entries as a whole (and also note which individual story I like the best.)
Please include a link to the story or poem online that you are elaborating on.
Happy Classic-ing!
