I asked my students the following question and they found it to be a complicated issue.
“What are you leaving behind in 2013, and what are you bringing into 2014?”
I don’t really give much credence to New Year’s Resolutions, but I am all for reflective living. Tell us what are you leaving behind, literally or figuratively. What is it that you bring to 2014?
Open a door? Look out a new window? Is it a new attitude? Is it a little piece of nostalgia that you want to nurture? Will you attempt something that you have never tried before?
Put it in writing, then see how it works out. Look back on your entry on December 31, 2014.
