Conflict in the Old West meant trouble with Indians, problems in cow towns that suddenly erupt into gunfire, thieves and robbers and claim jumpers and hunger and thirst all conspiring at one time or another to kill, maim or discourage a man, his sidekick and his horse.

Write YOUR vision of the Old West. What struggles must be endured or overcome? What riches are to be had or lost? Who will win between the good guys and the bad? It’s all up to you to decide as you set your ficly after the Civil War and before the year 1900.

Take your reader back to those dusty days of yesteryear when the sound of a Colt or Winchester was a language understood by all.
