I love pulp fiction. Maybe it’s the snappy dialogue, or the to-the-point story telling. Maybe it’s the brutal honesty, but the subtle character study.

I don’t know if I’m any good at writing pulp. On Ficly, I’ve been avoiding it, going for a more realistic, lice-of-life genre, but elsewhere I mainly write hard-boiled stories.

So here’s the challenge:

Tell your 1024 character story with:

1.) A first person point of view.
2.) An internal conflict, not direct external danger.
and
3.) Zero dialogue. Narration only for this one.

I’ll chose the story with the most interesting, compelling character when this is up in a week. Happy writing!
