Points of view are tricky things, aren’t they? As Rashomon and the stories it inspired demonstrate, what seems quite clear from one point of view can seem like something entirely different happened from another point of view.

So let’s play with that.

Take a ficlet from either Ficly or the Ficlets Archive and rewrite it from a different point of view—one of the other people in the story, or some unnoticed observer. And don’t take the truth of any element of the original ficlet for granted. Feel free to contradict it wildly, if it makes for a good story, and if the contradiction is believable given the different points of view.
