Literary Mashup
Send Ramona Quimby after Moby Dick.
Strand Robinson Crusoe with the Mad Hatter.
Put Miss Havisham on the DaVinci Code trail.
Basically, as the challenge title indicates, mashup two different literary endeavors into an incongruent but satisfying new whole. Tackle three, if you’re feeling confident, but don’t overdo it. Be funny, but not goofy. Capture the flavor of the original plot, or a character’s voice, or the unmistakable setting.
Novels, folk tales, nursery rhymes, best sellers, fairy tales—pretty much all stories are fair game.
