I don’t have any translation yet, but I may do one once I’m finished writing the story.

I enjoyed the challenge of attempting to understand this with my very rusty French. I was totally with it until the last bit when I think it started to go a little sci-fi…or I totally misunderstood your intention. Either way, hope you don’t mind my possibly misguided sequel in English. At the very least, I took a stab at providing a title, and in French even.
Oh, and comment/critique-wise, I really liked how the first paragraph set a palpable and beautifully described setting as well as several hints into the character of this Ernest guy…providing I understood it all correctly, which I think I did.
