I have to agree with the sentiment, “smart” people screw up all the time.
There are a couple of typos you might want to check and fix, like htopped for He stopped.
I would put a break at Once he talked to me again for a new paragraph because it makes the second try stand out from the first one.

I’m glad that my comments helped. The story looks better. However, you should really cut back on the all caps shouting. It’s not like FaceBook. We are not really shouters.
