Martana, Aspiring Empress of Kencii

“I will take the throne…” Martana said to herself as she wrote the petition to the King.

In her letter, she posed as her father, and it read as such:

Dated the twelfth hour,
of the fourth star,
of the eleventh moon,
in the eighth revolution of your rule.

On behalf of my daughter, I petition thee O Great King Jakeus.

I beseech thee that thou shall bear my daughter to thy Palace as one of thy concubines. She is very beautiful, but all the lords of my locale have wives who bear them children and seek not another.

I humbly implore thee to rescue her from the fate of the Spinster, while her youth yet retains her Beauty.

Most Humbly Yours, O Great King,

Aranus,
Father of Martana
of the Realm of Arftagen
of your vast and honorable Empire of Kencii

Of course, she had no father, as even her most loving of mothers had abandoned her to the wilds at a young age.

“I may not get the attention of the King himself yet, but I have stacked the first brick of my future palace.”
