Interesting setup to what could be a great series…my only complaint (and keep in mind this is my opinion ) is that it comes across more like a modern blog entry rather than a journal entry from the 1800s.

Although, nicely done, I must agree with K it does seem alot more modern.

You could jusy try looking up old English words, and throwing them in here once in a while. Just a suggestion.
