to reconnect with that alley I had in my dream. I found it; well, not really found it, I seemed to know where it was all along. I got out of my car and stood in the alley, waiting for them to return. I didn’t see them, I didnt hear them, I only..felt them. They were cold…mean…quiet, but unrelenting. I flipped open my cellphone in my pocket and waited. I felt them land around me, growing larger as they prepared to feed on me, these creatures, ghostly, faceless, ominous, cruel. I stood their, offering myself to them, giving up and begging to be freed from my fear, I begged to them for the light to return to me, and they obliged me. simultaneously they lunged at me. I dropped back to the alley wall, and held up my cell phone, the light cast down behind me, creating a shadow in its wake. My shadow. It burst from the ground, larger then I had remembered it in my dream, its eyes were angry now, and it formed into a ruthlessly massive entity, protecting me from those things. They screeched at his power and they
