Water You Doing?
…name as many types of water as you can. For example you could say, ‘fresh water.’ I will repeat the problem. You have one minute to think and two minutes to respond. Your problem is to name as many types of water as you can. For example you could say, ‘fresh water.’"
(Salt water, fresh water, water melon, waterfall, ice, steam)
“You may begin.” We go around in circles naming different kinds of water. You can’t skip and you can’t repeat answers.
“Watermelon.” I say, trying to show the other kids more creative answers.
“Ice.” Grant says. Good. He’s catching on.
“Salt water.”
“Warm water.”
“Yellow water.”
“Water you doing?” I say. Everyone laughs. I used that one last year and got some major points for it.
“Blue water.”
“Red water.”
“No more colors.” Coach says.
“Vodka!”
“Explain.” Caoch says.
“There’s water in vodka.” Enrique whines. Coach nodds.
“Waterfall.”
“TIME.”
We all stop talking. A few kids are whispering to each other about their answers, probably guessing which ones were creative.
“Got it, Ali?”
