Interesting sentiment. I was especially intrigued by the ‘wanting a chance’ idea, that somehow the relationship could work despite whatever his faults are if he would just allow the possibility. It seems like a very romantic notion, especially in the face of the guy having so horribly disappointed her.
In some cases, the wondering hurts the most. You just want a chance to see what the relationship would be like, because otherwise you’re stuck wondering for the rest of your life and to even imagine liking someone else in the same way seems a daunting task :/
Well, there’s an old cliche about there being plenty of fish in the sea. But it’s very true. No matter how enamored with someone you are, you’ll find someone else and move on when it’s over.
oh, grow up. 19 and only had half a boyfriend, so what? You’re only 19! Dark hillbilly is right. Plenty of people have felt themselves to be an exception to that old cliche, and proven themselves wrong with time.
Also, most people, male or female, really don’t have a clue what they want so soon after getting out of high school. The things that are desirable in high school and in the real world can be very different and it takes most people time to adjust to that. So be easy on yourself. Perhaps try to see the good in some new people.
Queen songs, huh? Freddie Mercury?
oh yeah, I should probably rate the ficly, since it is a good one.
That’s a problem or two, thinking that you are settling, and thinking that you are getting less.
Remember that old lesson, no matter how good you are at something, there’s somebody better? It’s true for him too. Seriously, this guy didn’t even give you a chance. A callous person probably isn’t right for you.
::sigh:: yeah, it is depressing. That’s the kind of feelings I’ve been dealing with. And to be fair, he never gave me a chance because at the time he was dating a girl he believed was sent from God to him, even after they broke up eight months later, not even a month passed before he started going out with some girl he had dreams at night of marrying. They’re still together.
Hi Raegan, Sorry about the hurt but us girls always take a beating at love. (if it makes you feel better the stats say men fall harder than us but we recover faster.)
nd the number best way to get back at an ex for breaking your heart. Take the power from them….Realize you are an awesome person who doesnt deserve rejection. Become valuable to yourself so you will be valuable to your future dream man (who by the way is out there looking for you RIGHTNOW). The best revenge is living happily ever after.
