It is hard to find other words to use instead of wood.

THX.lol. When a chest is wood it is wood,timber,or a multitude of woods ie elm,ash etc. When a writer has a block it is not wood. sorryyy could’nt restrain myself.he.he.

A sad and disenchanting sequel to what seemed like a moment of peace and serenity. After reading the prequel, this was a bit darker than I was expecting, but that it works.

This story is a great metaphor for growing up and moving on.

This really does come off as dark. Personally, the first conclusion I came to (before reading the prequel) was that the chest contained a gun. After reading the prequel, it seems like something much darker. Good work on adding some additional info on his life below the attic..

Wow, I hadn’t thought of a gun. I’d intended the contents to be something redemptive, something that would save him from the situation at a later date.
