Agk-Tolanga stood on his hairy hind legs, admiring the organized formation of human soldiers marching in their gleaming armor through Shuk-Anshet Valley. The humans seemed to revel in announcing their presence during a march.
Polished steel armor and blades shone brightly in a noonday sun, extravagantly colored clothing and coats of arms stood in contrast to the colors of nature, war drums loudly beat the pace, hooves and shifting metal lent a constant noise to their movements, men yelled orders to each other, trumpets blared, and thus they made themselves conspicuous. It was as if they sought to terrify their opponents and not fight them.
Agk-Tolanga and his kind chose stealth and ferocity in battle. Their furry black bodies were streaked with mud and adorned with vegetation for concealment. The bear-men had thick hide and sturdy bones with little need for armor. Their claws, teeth, and muscle gave them little need for weapons beyond clubs and boulders.
Agk-Tolanga roared to signal the attack and feast.
