Oo, what will save the wife? Will she stand up to him? Maybe the husband should have a bit more a human side, rather than always being mean – there has to be a reason she married him.

very true violet.. feel free to add that in! This whole story was based on a conversation I heard in passing.. it is imagined, and therefore not completely formed. All I know is, he hates his job. He can’t read past a 3rd grade level and treats her like crap.
Maybe she just wanted to save him?? Maybe it’s deeper.
Please.. anyone, you can take this from his perspective.. give him some softer side. :)
