Oh my heart goes out to that Prince. You’ve written him so well, he jumps of the page (screen).
You seamlessly switch from everything being focused on the Prince to having a bit of omniscient narrative towards the end, which works really well, and adds some context.
I just hope the Prince gets a nice ending out of all this, that bird better be doing this for a good reason… MH :)
