I think the “motel by the diner” idea was great and gave us insight on the character, but the change in tenses was kind of confusing and messed up the flow that you would otherwise have achieved.

I originally had a plan to make it all past tense but I didn’t know if it would be boring, so that’s why I started off in the past at first and then put it in present tense but I guess that version got lost in translation lol

With rain being symbolic of emotional release, I found this story’s analogy between the rain and her emoti0nal state well done.

^ Yes! The ancient Chinese (I think it was Chinese) believed that the rain was the heavens making love to the earth, so it all kind of goes hand in hand. ^.

This appeals to me because the character reminds me of myself. It’s very well done, but I fear I may be a bit biased. ;]

I like this story, but I think the last line could have been left off. It’s more or less implied in the preceding line.

Mmm, thanks kaellinn18. Upon reading, it does sort of have a stronger ending with that line omitted. Readers here are smart, I’m sure they’ll get her character.
