I’ve not seen many pregnancy testing kits, but the ones I have seen have not been colour coded: one stripe for no, two for yes. Both blue. There’s on that puts the two stripes across each other, so the single-stripe result looks like – and the double-stripe result looks like +. Then there’s the digital one that says “pregnant” or “not pregnant” as appropriate.

I’m not saying there aren’t colour coded ones, of course, just all the ones I’ve seen have been blue.

Anyway, I’m still enjoying your story.

You should have got her to use ClearBlue – that just says pregnant/not pregnant, so then you’d be fine.
