Very good sequel. I’m still new to this so my feedback is not very useful; but I very much enjoyed your interpretation of ‘missed beer’ and the directions you took. great job.

This is a different interpretation of the character in the first piece, however, it has the same repentant tone.

Thank you for the comments; I tried to show that innocuous event (the missed beer) in a way that makes it symbolize the relationship. The son could have at any point decided to make things right but chose not to, just like he decided to not have that beer. Now he can’t do either.
