Postcards from Long Ago 10

We heard alarms going and I quickly grabbed two gas masks and two Sporad Q-51 pistols (the gun I created) and we ran outside. (She was an officer in the United Army, but she was on maternity leave as she had just had our daughter a few weeks prior.) We saw a large group of Russian soldiers (we could only tell by the orange uniforms) wearing old-fashioned gas masks approaching. I saw my wife, 901156, running to the left, so I ran to the right. I shot a few soldiers, and reloaded. The Russians still used old-fashioned bullet guns; they were a little behind on technology. I saw my wife struggling with the gun and I realized the gun was jammed. That could be catastrophic as her gun was like a shotgun, each bullet carried nine normal dosages of Sporad, and the gun loaded ten darts at a time. If one exploded, the rest of them would inevitably follow suit.
