halfway through a cup of coffee a merry band of woodland ninjas fights a saint in a dark alley

was my writing prompt. you think i could come up with this otherwise? ha

haha, this is great! i’ve actually seen people run by and steal coffee from the drive-thru before. the nun was pretty awesome.

really? seen people do that? I’m a country girl, i was just imagining… wow.

You must stop writing to prompts that back you into a dark alley – it can be habit forming.

Seriously, a nice light snack full of ninjas and nun and cup o’ Joe. Clever.

I noticed that I didn’t explain why I had the ninjas split up.. it wasn’t clear that these were woodland ninjas, so I threw in the part about two of them leaping to fire escapes. I figured woodland ninjas are most at home fighting from trees. So the fire escape was a natural move for them. And being rural, they probably aren’t very used to women opponents, especially not nuns. There wasn’t room to give them green leafy costumes, so you’re left with plain ’ol ninjas. merry ninjas.

Here I am chuckling like an idiot. This was loads of fun! Snickering, juvenile ninjas and a superhero nun.
