Obsession
“It’s going to be just fine, hun,” My mother insists on the way to my new school. I bet you’ve heard this a million times before,
I just came to a new town, blah blah, new school, blah blah, I have no friends, blah blah blah
Weirdly enough, I feel like the town of Elsewhere is way different from the others. After I arrive to my dreadful destination I’m quickly settled in and rushed into my new homeroom.
“Is he the new kid?”
“He’s cute.”
“Oh, new kid.” Is all I hear while find my seat with all eyes were on me, but who’s complaining?
“Hi, I’m Jared.” He stretches out his arm, apparently wanting me to shake it. I look at him awkwardly and we both laugh. Who shakes hands? It’s too formal.
After that everything else goes wonderfully. Jared introduces me to a lot of interesting people, one in particular, Jueli. I keep my eye out for some flaw, something that can make this town any less perfect, but nothing seems to come up.
Maybe Elsewhere is flawless.
