Can’t imagine what that change would’ve done to the rest of history – perhaps man wouldn’t have ended up as dumb, or maybe God’s plan would’ve worked itself out in the end…

Erasing the original sin, that’s some pretty big stuff right there – for starters ‘His Dark Materials’ would never have been written, which would’ve been a travesty…

I never expected this, and I love the way it’s told, almost like the snake is deriving from modern culture of “sin” which has through this story been eradicated. Like a paradox.
