And So It Begins
I pulled my car into his driveway, my pulse was racing to the extent that I could hear it beat over the music coming from my radio. I took a moment to breath and study my reflection in the mirror. “Just relax,” I told myself, “you’re a smart girl, you know you won’t do anything stupid.” I smirked at myself, a part of me knew exactly how this day was going to go, but another part of me honestly did love my boyfriend and did want to stay faithful to him. I just wished that my boyfriend could make me feel the way that Todd did.
Once I had composed myself enough to dull the agonizing beat of my heart I opened my car door and stepped outside into the bitterly cold winter air. I walked up to Todd’s door and rang the door bell. 1….2….3….4…5 I counted eagerly in my mind and tapped my anxious foot on the concrete.
He opened the door with a smile placed on his face. One look into his eyes and my knees became jelly. “Hey,” he said as he motioned for me to come inside. “Hey,” I smiled at him and walked inside.
