I’m having trouble figuring this story out. The gossiping of the old-timers makes it seem like the characters are locally known, but the ‘Agency’, ‘clean-up team’ and all that make her seem like an elite agent called in from far afield.

Agencies, gossip and sex seem set in the real-world, but blowing up a mountain seems fantasy or sci-fi – or at the very least action.

I love the fact that they ruined a whole freaking mountain.

In my mind, she’s the most elite member of a team from the Agency.

…though to be honest, this mostly came off-the-cuff, with zero editing afterward.
