I’m perusing his Facebook profile when I come across Samantha. Normally, I wouldn’t think anything about the other girls that my boyfriend is friends with. However, I know Samantha is different. She made it quite clear in the past that she wanted Joe, and wasn’t going to back down.

Joe refused to give her a chance. He explained to me one night that he just couldn’t have an intelligent conversation with Samantha. He would much rather date me, despite the physical distance between us.

My curiosity is piqued, though, when I see Samantha’s name and thumbnail. A few more clicks and I see the flawless face of a beautiful, green-eyed, blonde-haired girl on the computer screen. She’s gorgeous! I think to myself as I stare at her beauty.

Then it hits me. I try to maintain a positive attitude about myself, but I catch myself thinking, He picked me over her? At that very moment I love Joe more than I ever have before. I know for a fact that he isn’t like all the others before.
