This story came from a challenge: I found a title generator online, asked it for a B-movie title, and hit go. It threw back The Harvesters Broken.

I chose to assume that it wasn’t a typo, that it really meant “the harvesters broken”, and not “The Harvester’s Broken”. And here we are.

I really liked the line Sarah always said I’d sleep through the apocalypse and it looks like she was right.
This is neat, I want to find out what happens!

Bizarre but told in a matter-of-factly style that lends it gravity while still getting across the absurdity or surrealism of editing reality and what that might cause. Very nicely done.
