Ah so all is not as it seems… You nailed this in the end Elsha, a very nice sequel indeed. I’m not sure about Rafferty being ‘infamous’, he seems like a pretty nice guy to me, but overall, this develops everything nicely – subtle but clever, and as Pat said, amusing in places!

In the second to last line, methinks it will read better if you remove the comma and then perhaps clarify that Pryce calling is an actuality and not merely a worry; then I can fully enjoy the last sentence without pausing to second-guess who’s saying them :P
Maybe “She hung up moments before Mr. Pryce called her desk”
