I like how this builds up, tenser and tenser until… Oh that ending is gorgeous – very evocative. A couple of things: 1) Make sure you capitalise after the ellipses in the third paragraph. 2) ‘Sped up even further’? Doesn’t read particularly well to me. Even faster maybe, but further is distance not speed. Anyhoo, very well done – welcome, back? MH :)
