In An Alley

Blonde hair turned black with shadow and rain. It fell into his eyes as he watched her. She stood on the sidewalk. The only light was a street lamp that sent shadows dancing on the ground. Her long ebony hair plastered to her body, clothes clinging to her frame. She was drenched. Her skin wsa pale, her eyes hidden by shadows cast from her bangs. Even in the darkness she was beautiful.

She seemed to sense him staring. She took a step then another. She walked to the mouth of the alley and paused.

“You shouldn’t be here.” Her voice was gentle but firm. She took another step and encased herself in darkness with him…….
