Funny little story. The storytelling manages to somehow mirror their drunken states without being unintelligible. At first I wasn’t loving it, but it grew on me and really worked well for the story.

I liked it better the original way, as it lent the story an air of magic that fits the allure of gambling in general. This is probably more realistic, so they’re both valid ways to go with it.
