The title, and even the first two paragraphs, reminded me a little of Oscar Wilde – the imagery was really great and it has an almost dreamlike quality to it.
Research shows that the most common dreams are ones where you imagine yourself flying, which is representative of a desire for freedom or release – that certainly seems to be strong motivation here as well – a nice set up to a strong psychology behind the Prince’s character.
Nice work, a really relaxing, immersive piece to read with a little sequel hook at the end, which, although I felt was a bit melodramatic considering the gorgeous description which I felt made this piece, was still interesting.
