Part of this reads like what I think Stewie from Family Guy would write of his birth experience. Good stuff!

Interesting view from the baby’s perspective. I think Stewie would have fashioned a whip out of the umbilical cord.

Totally had Stewie in mind as I wrote this. It’s not completely fashioned after him, but it’s definitely got a hint of the Bertram/Stewie thing going on.

Funny how when I read this again a few hours later it’s terrible. When I was writing it I really thought it was pretty good, and now… it’s definitely not. I’m going to blame it on the 180+ characters I had to remove to get it down to 1,024 though.

Haha, It took me a couple read-throughs to get it, but that could just be me reading it too quickly. At first I thought it was some kind of animal…

This is really good, clearly the twist makes it – the idea of birth being escape is certainly original, and it gave this piece the elusive ‘even-better-second-time-through’ factor which is tough…

Good work here – the further adventures of The Escapee could make for interesting sequels! MH :)

Wow John, you really led me down the garden path here.

I was sure that this was some sort of sick horror show, when in reality it was more your common or garden variety horror show (I have been to two c-sections, I know) :-D
