WONDERFUL! Really, a cracking take on the challenge, and to be honest, it’s difficult to get much more classic than that…
The poetry works well, and you’ve captured a pivotal scene from an unexpected perspective – very interesting… Raises the idea that he can foresee the coming tragedy as well, which is intriguing.
MH, you always say almost everything I want to…I can’t decide if I like that about you or hate it ;) This is really awesome though…one of the best I think!
While I’ve no clue what the original source material is, I find this to be a very well written poem. Well, except for that period where there should be a comma in: ““Go on; I’ll follow thee.” my son declares.”
It definitely has a very classic feel to it. Fantastic job.
I know the source material, JP. I’m disappointed. A very successful and classic-feeling take on the story, Ben. I give you 2 Kudos and 5 pencils and a pat on the butt.
What a stuff up. Pooh did actually win but I accidentally pushed the wrong button and Gradual Uprising became the star. Stuff. Stuff. Stuff happens. But I did enjoy…no… I thoroughly enjoyed your entry.
