The Hunt
Chris had never been hunting before, it felt strange. He’d never held a gun before, it was heavier than he thought it would be. He sat in the same spot for hours, waiting for his prey. He would not go chasing after the beast. The animal would come to him.
He was doing the right thing, this creature deserved to die, he was better than this animal.
This was the circle of life. He was superior.
He saw his prey, he looked through the scope, and lined up the shot. He was nervous, but he knew what had to be done. His prey stood there, completely unaware of what fate had in store.
Chris felt powerful, more powerful than he had ever felt before, and he liked it.
He had the power now, he could end this creatures life in an instant. But he didn’t, he savored the moment. He gently caressed the trigger, never taking his eyes off his target.
He was so close, less than 10 feet away.
This is it.
Now or never.
Then, he got spotted.
They looked into each others eyes.
“What the hell are you doing with that gun?” asked his prey
