Silent Danger
She stood flush against the wall, trying her best to ignore the pounding of her heart, instead listening for his footsteps. She couldn’t hear anything, not even the people nearby chattering away, all she could hear was silence.
Most people associate silence with saftey; they cannot hear the danger therefore there is no danger. They are dead wrong; your senses can decieve you. Silence worried her because there was always danger around and without any of her senses detecting it, she had no idea where the danger was. If the danger were to attack, she would have to use speed to combat the attacks if she wanted to live ‘till tomorrow and see the sun rise above the horizon.
There was still nothing to be heard and she started panicking, wondering where he was. It had been some time and he could be anywhere at the moment.
She didn’t know where the danger was.
But the danger knew where she was.
