I’m working my way through about three lists of books to read before I die (I haven’t gotten very far because my degree gets in the way) so Rianne is basically me and Charlie is any number of wonderful friends who accompany me to bookshops only to end up helping me carry all my books to the register.
I read ‘The Three Musketeers’ a while back – good ol’ Dumas…! This is really nice, who needs to buy food and pay rent with a student loan? Surely a couple of hundred good books is a MUCH mire sensible purchase?
Always good to get to know a bit more about a fellow Ficlyteer, so thanks – MH :)
My son accumulated 8,ooo books in 10 years and they are the ones he bought……. His love of literature has endured. He has an e-reader now so he downloads because he has not got the space for more books.
My one dream is to have my own library (I don’t see it happening anytime soon, but I still hold out hope!). I don’t actually have a list of books, but I’m constantly on the lookout for another good read. So, I can certainly relate! Good story!
