Legend of Gabriél (11)
“El jardín es precioso!” I complimented. He smiled politely and glanced at my bare chest.
“What are you doing he—” Andres didn’t finish, because la Princesa walked over and interrupted him.
“¿Es este el nuevo chico de granja?” She said, “Soy Princesa Eva.” I bow down in respect.
“An honor to meet you, Princess,” I said, " Mi nombre es Gabriél." She smiled and walked next to her brother. I knew she must’ve been questioning why I did not have a shirt on, but she never said anything. We all agreed to lounge around the garden and talk, I didn’t know we’d be talking for hours.
When the sun began going down, I decided that it was time to go home. They offered me a ride on one of their horses, but I didn’t want to worry Mother or Father with the sound if they were asleep. I was arriving at my house when I saw an ominous light coming from the plantation. I ran, worried that a scandal lit the crops on fire, but as I approached the plantation, I saw my Mother and Father tied to a stake… burning.
