My Dear Kelsey,
I love you. There is so much good you can do in the world. You can teach the world to love again. I know this is true. You always brought happiness to us every single day. You know that your mom is going to take good care of you, and I want you to know that this is not your fault. This was my decision. It’s just too hard for you to understand right now. Over time, your mom will tell you everything about chemo and cancer, but I want you to know that I WILL ALWAYS BE THERE WITH YOU.

Please enjoy life. Lie under the stars. Fall in Love. Make mistakes. And don’t be afraid to admit them. If you are reading this, I wasn’t strong enough, but YOU made my life worth while. Remember the story about the elephant? You are that little elephant! You can do anything you put your mind to.
