I’m not so sure about ‘perfect’ with regards to the murder, but the aspiration is twisted enough!
Although I agree with MJY, if you left it to the last second you might not have got the wonderful ‘anonymous pile’ comment, which is just brilliant… Good work! MH :)
MJY, I think the punchline is that commit the perfect murder is situated between two completely innocuous, and unrelated bucket list items. And I also catch a subtle dig at the French there, but that could just be me.
Oh my certainly wasn’t expecting that ending! I like how it’s different from the other entries. Though it does worry me that someone could possibly have this on their bucket list…
Only edits I’d make would be to change the brackets to commas, though that’s a taste thing, and add the comma after ‘voice’ in that same sentence, and possibly to move the whistling line to the beginning of the end paragraph so it ends on ‘Commit the perfect murder’ – again, personal taste.
I like the paper airplane image, and matter-of-factness of his approach to the whole situation.
as if it were just that easy to check off the items.. aaaaand, DONE! there we go! well, that felt good, now to use this equipment to hide out in the mountains for a few months.. oh shoot, she took the jerky!
