I’m not sure if I totally follow this, bit it is intriguing… I’m not sure about the use of ‘red’ twice in quick succession, perhaps you could change one of them for a synonym?

If there’s supposed to be a clear and specific meaning to the last line, you might want to think about clarifying it, but if you’re happy for it to be open and ambiguous then that’s the tone it’s got at the minute… Interesting, but a little – empty? MH :)
