For a bit if a history buff, this is reminiscent of the problems the first leader of the Spanisg Armada had – only set in space!

Good work here on creating a thoroughly inept character, who a sequeller could either choose to rescue, or throw further into failure and potential mutiny… Nice stuff! MH :)
