Excellent! Nice to see the plot move out of the office. Intrigue is wonderful, but it feels like it might be time for some action. A car chase, perhaps?

For two people at odds, they are annoyingly polite to each other. Nice hook at the end.

Have you read The Big Sleep? The first of the genre and one you might really enjoy.
