Joseph Turner – Arundel Castle with Rainbow

Very nicely done! I love the picture!! And what you took and made with it. The clothes floating down the river because of the utter amazement was a very nice touch. I wouldn’t have thought of that :)

The whole way through I was thinking ‘this imagery is awesome!’ – and looking at the painting it drew inspiration from, it’s amazing how you’ve transferred the source material into literary bliss.

The religious context is really clever considering that society would have been inherently Christian at the time of Turner’s painting, so that was a great call on your part.
