No matter what you choose, at this age it is paramount that you take whatever creative impulse is rattling around and get it out. You may cringe with embarrassment if you re-experience these things after the age of 30, but the palpable need to express whatever “it” is will always resonate. Gives you more leverage in making your choice, too. (I feel like I’m coming off a little asshatty, but trust me when I say that’s not my intention.)
I like that you comment on the decision between passion and practicality, and I enjoy how, when I reach the end, I can still feel the knotted-up stomach I constantly felt at 16.5.
