This was kinda spooky but still sweet. I love the line: Swift ashen mirages seemed to reveal themselves upon the tablets of the tombstones.

I walked through the cemetry with you. I enjoyed the journey. I only have one little thing (everyone can howl me down.) the words…“Swift ashen mirages” did not gel with me.

like ghostly images on the polished tombstone faces, though older stones are not polished..
She wanders the fields often, lonely, bored, and kinda crazy.. talking to the dead like that.. :)

I disagree with Marli, it’s no wonder you used that imagery in the title I think it’s captivating.

As is the rest of the story. Just enough detail but with strong plot-starters running through as well – she asks some pretty deep questions of the dead! MH :)
