This is a cool scene. It obviously opens lots of doors for sequel or prequel, but personally I think it stands very well on its own. Totally opinion here, as always – the thing with the eyes at the end somehow diminishes the vibe. Maybe it takes away some of the mystery, I don’t know – whatever, it’s a good read.
And here I wondered if the lack of some signal at the end would render this too tame. Perhaps I should have gone with my first instinct and left out that sentence.
