A really nice take on the challenge, combining what feels, at least to some extent, like personal experience, with the required literary device…

Yea…i actually got beaten up and robbed on new years at 5:30 in the morning. So this story is like a more poetic version of that day.

I wondered at first if I was reading this right. A city. But had to wait for M.H. to confirm that my powers of observation are not speeding down hill like the rest of me. Well done G.U.

What a sad, sad story I’m sure glad there isn’t a sequel. Though maybe a take on how the camera and wallet faired would be interesting.
